Big News for First-time Homebuyers!
A new law has just been signed by the president to help first-time homebuyers. It basicly gives a buyer or buyers a $7,500 interest free loan over 15 years. This is a temporary stimulas measure, so don't delay.
First-Time Home Buyer Tax Credit at a Glance
- Tax credit is available for first-time home buyers only.
- Credit amount is up to $7,500.
- Must purchase and close on a home on or after April 9, 2008 and before July 1, 2009.
- Single taxpayers with incomes up to $75,000 and married couples with incomes up to $150,000 qualify for the full $7,500.
- The tax credit is basicly an interest-free loan and must be repaid over a 15-year period.
